Beach Guidelines in Southeast Minnesota
Head to Hok-Si-La’s waterfront for much-needed fun and relaxation, and take a dip at Lake Pepin or the Mississippi River. Our beach is usually crowded during the warm season. Even though other beachgoers will help you in case of emergencies, we would like to remind you that the city’s beaches do not have lifeguards. To have an enjoyable and safe experience, please observe our beach guidelines in Southeast Minnesota:
- Never swim alone.
- Supervise children when they are in the water & avoid distractions.
- Wear a life vest or personal floatation device.
- Bring a wagon to haul gear and snacks.
- Bring extra water.
- Stay in the designated swimming area.
- Watch out for lake undertows and river currents.
