nestled in nature, simple luxury camper cabins
Not suited for tent camping? Upgrade your stay to one of our cozy camper cabins! These thoughtfully designed retreats offer a peaceful escape from the everyday without sacrificing the little luxuries that make your stay special. Enjoy a warm (or A/C cooled!), inviting space with comfortable beds, soft lighting, and a charming atmosphere that lets you unwind after a day of the outdoors. While our cabins keep things simple, modern amenities like a nearby bathhouse with hot showers and flushing toilets ensure a refreshing stay. Whether you're soaking up morning nature on the porch or stargazing by the fire, this is your chance to disconnect, recharge and embrace the beauty of the great outdoors - without roughing it.
Still a "rustic" experience, camper cabins offer the bare necessities. There is no running water in the cabin and you will want to bring all needed bedding. Each cabin is designed to sleep 6 with 2 queen beds w/overhead twin bunks. All cabins are equipped with electricity, heat and air conditioning. A permanent picnic style table is installed inside. Bring your camping chairs to take a load off under the covered porch and around the campfire!

thank you Casey T. O'Neil!
Our camper cabins were only made possible with the help of a most generous grant from the local Casey T. O'Neil Foundation. With this significant support, the City of Lake City agreed to add these simplistic cabins to our landscape. In 2014 the first 3 cabins were built and quickly became regularly booked. Demand called for another set of 3 cabins to be built in 2017, which again became overwhelmed with reservations! We were so happy to further add 3 more cabins in 2024!! The cabins continue to be our most popular sites and are generally reserved at 95% booked for all weekends May-September! We typically have plenty of availability mid week during those months. Plan ahead and book up to 1 year in advance to secure your cabin stay with us!
We are so grateful to the Casey T. O'Neil foundation for their love and support of our park and their help in adding these gems! Casey O'Neil's love of the history of the great Mississippi riverboats, and more specifically the riverboats that have been significant with Lake City and the shores of this park, is how the cabin names were given.
