tent camping with wilderness comfort and rustic charm
Escape to the great outdoors and experience camping the way it was meant to be - pure, simple, and surrounded by nature. Our tent only campground offers 38 sites and is the perfect retreat for those who crave adventure, tranquility, and a true connection with the wilderness. With access to scenic walking trails, one of Minnesota's best beaches, and plenty of room to unwind by campfire, this is your chance to disconnect from the daily grind and reconnect with what matters most. Whether you're a seasoned camper or new to the experience, our peaceful, car-free campground invites you to slow down, breathe deep and savor the simplicity of tent camping at it's finest.
Choose from either an individual site (comfortably accommodate 4-8 people) or a group site (comfortably accommodate 25+ people) with a wooded setting or coveted, lake view. Campsites do not offer electricity and please know that gas powered generators are NOT allowed. Wi-fi is available to guests in the office only (signal does not reach beyond office). This is rustic camping, folks! Each site is located very near a shared, potable water source. All sites also offer close access to permanent vault toilets, located all around the park. In the main area of the park you will find two bathhouses. The bathhouses have flushing toilets and coin operated shower facilities ($.50/min) and are open 24 hours from mid April - mid October.
To keep our campground safe and peaceful, vehicles are not allowed in the campground. Upon check-in, any registered guests are allowed to drive to their assigned site for a 15min unload time (strictly enforced). Then guest vehicles will exit and park in one of our main parking areas. No intermittent trips to the campsite with vehicles during the stay will be allowed. Upon check-out, guest vehicles will be allowed to then drive in again briefly to their site to load up. Remember to bring your bikes and wagons!
Quiet hours are 10pm-8am (strictly enforced).
Please be respectful of your neighbors!
We try our best to keep a pristine park!
Please leave your site as clean as you found it!

stuff and things to know before booking:
- Check-in & check-out time is at 2:00 p.m. Early check-ins are allowed if your reserved site is open and available. Late check-ins are permitted but vehicles MAY NOT drive to site for unloading after 9:00pm. Late guests must cart supplies in. Please be ready to provide your vehicle information at check-in and DO NOT block entrance gate when checking in.
- We are a tent-only campground. Your vehicle will not be next to your site during your stay. RVs, travel trailers, camper vans, rooftop vehicle tents, and the like are not allowed. There is also no unauthorized overnight parking allowed. The park closes to the public each night at 10pm. At that time, any unregistered guests will be asked to leave.
- We sell bundled wood (7-8pcs) for $7 & we deliver to your site. You may bring your own firewood. We only allow DNR certified wood as part of our firewood policy. DO NOT not leave fires unattended.
- Our park is located within 1/4 mile of Hwy 61 which also runs parallel with a set of train tracks. Road noise and train traffic/horns (also from WI side across the river) can be heard day and night. We recommend bringing ear plugs to ensure peaceful rest.
